HE INTERBANK STORY
began on September 3, 1901, when the bank opened its doors in downtown Sayre. It was the first chapter of a banking tradition that continues today.
The bank was founded to provide banking services to settlers in the Indian Territory that was to become Oklahoma. Travel by horseback or covered wagon brought most settlers to conduct their banking business.
Oklahoma has grown and changed since those early pioneer days. We have also grown and changed from a single banking location to four offices in Elk City, Clinton, Hobart and Sayre. The bank continues to offer convenient and responsive service to its customers.
At InterBank, we pledge to our customers that we’ll provide the best banking services in Western Oklahoma. Our goal is to serve our customers the way we would like to be served. It’s not just a slogan... It’s our commitment.
